Project Focus: Turning the original matte UKC15 jar into a glossy white body mask jar

The UKC15 jar already matched the basic functional needs of iota’s Superchili Body Mask. Its 250ml capacity, double-wall structure, and wide-mouth opening made it suitable for thick body care formulas that require easy product access during daily use.

The main challenge was the surface finish. The standard UKC15 mold creates a natural matte texture after injection molding, while iota wanted a smoother glossy white finish to support its clean and minimalist packaging design.

UKPACK needed to keep the proven UKC15 jar structure while changing the surface effect from matte to glossy. The final jar also had to maintain stable molding quality, clean screen-printing results, and a wide-mouth user experience suitable for body mask and body butter jar packaging.

UKPACK built the project on the existing UKC15 250ml double-wall PP jar platform.

Instead of developing a completely new jar structure, we customized the surface finish based on the client’s visual requirement.

By adjusting the mold surface, UKPACK transformed the standard matte UKC15 jar into a glossy PP jar while keeping the original wide-mouth structure and 250ml capacity.

This approach helped the client achieve a more brand-specific appearance without losing the production stability of an existing jar platform.

The original UKC15 mold was designed to create a matte surface after injection molding.

For iota, UKPACK developed a glossy surface solution based on the same jar platform. This allowed the final white jar to look cleaner, smoother, and more aligned with the brand’s minimalist product design.

UKPACK applied screen printing to present the product name, ingredient message, and iota brand identity on the jar body.

The design uses simple black typography with a small red graphic detail, so print clarity and alignment were important for the final packaging effect.

The UKC15 jar uses a wide-mouth opening, making it suitable for thicker body care formulas such as body masks, body creams, and body butters.

For Superchili Body Mask, this structure allows users to access the formula easily and control the amount applied each time.

For this body mask jar project, UKPACK focused on both appearance and production consistency.

Key controls included glossy surface inspection, jar body appearance, screen-printing alignment, print clarity, lid fit, and overall assembly performance.

Because the design is minimal, small surface defects or printing deviations are easier to notice. The packaging therefore required stable molding, clean surface finishing, and consistent decoration quality across production.
