When Horace developed its Skin-Perfecting Exfoliating Solution, the brand needed a clean, practical packaging format for a liquid facial care product used with a cotton pad. The product is positioned as an exfoliating skincare solution that helps reduce blemishes, refine pores, and smooth the skin. Its official product size is 5.07 fl oz, which corresponds to approximately 150ml.
UKPACK supported the project with a custom-developed 150ml PET bottle, matched with our existing press pump system. The result was a lightweight, minimal, and daily-use skincare bottle suitable for exfoliating solutions, toners, cleansing waters, and makeup removers.

The Challenge
Liquid facial care products need packaging that feels clean, controlled, and easy to use in daily routines. Horace’s Skin-Perfecting Exfoliating Solution is applied every evening, or every other evening for sensitive skin, using a cotton pad. The packaging therefore needed to support a controlled dispensing experience without making the routine messy or wasteful.
The brand also required a 150ml fill volume, which could not be treated as a simple off-the-shelf capacity match. UKPACK needed to develop a PET bottle around the client’s requested volume while ensuring stable compatibility with our existing pump system.
The challenge was to balance three requirements in one packaging solution: a customized 150ml PET bottle, reliable pump matching, and a clean visual format suitable for Horace’s minimalist skincare positioning.

UKPACK developed the PET bottle around Horace’s required 150ml fill volume. This ensured the packaging matched the product’s commercial size instead of forcing the formula into a standard bottle capacity.
The custom capacity also helped the final product maintain the right proportions for shelf display, hand feel, and daily consumer use.
2. PET Bottle Structure
The bottle was produced in PET, a practical material choice for liquid facial care packaging. PET supports a clean surface appearance, good handling performance, and lightweight shipping efficiency.

3. Existing Press Pump System
Horace’s bottle was matched with UKPACK’s existing press pump system. This helped reduce development complexity while still supporting controlled liquid dispensing.
For products applied with cotton pads, a press pump format gives consumers a more controlled way to wet the cotton pad without pouring liquid directly from an open bottle.
4. Pump Head Upgrade Available
Although Horace used the original pump version, UKPACK has since upgraded this pump head structure for newer projects. The upgraded version is now available through our makeup remover press bottle.
This gives new skincare brands a stronger option when developing packaging for makeup removers, exfoliating solutions, toners, and cleansing liquids.
