Custom 10ml Syrup Pump for Fabbri

Fabbri is a heritage Italian brand loved by bartenders and baristas around the world. When they wanted a dedicated syrup pump for their Mixybar range, they needed more than a standard off-the-shelf part. They needed a food-grade, branded 10 ml pump that could work across multiple syrups and pass the strict checks of their quality team.

UKPACK supplied the full solution – from pump design and output tuning to color matching and food-contact documentation.

About Fabbri and Mixybar

Fabbri has been producing syrups and dessert ingredients for more than a century. Its Mixybar line is widely used in cafés, cocktail bars, and coffee chains.

To support this line, Fabbri wanted a brand-specific syrup pump that would:

  • Match the visual identity of Mixybar
  • Deliver a consistent 10 ml dose per stroke
  • Be trusted by professionals who use it all day, every day

Rather than source generic pumps from multiple vendors, Fabbri chose to partner with UKPACK as a single, reliable manufacturer.

What Fabbri Needed from a Pump Partner

From the first call, Fabbri’s brief was clear. They were looking for a supplier who could:

  • Provide a food-grade syrup pump, backed by test reports and certificates
  • Guarantee approx. 10 ml output per stroke with syrup-level viscosity
  • Design one pump that could fit across their Mixybar syrup bottles
  • Add visible Fabbri branding without compromising performance
  • Support long-term supply and future product updates

This combination of regulatory, technical and branding requirements is where UKPACK’s OEM/ODM strengths come in.

Key Challenges

1. Dosing accuracy with viscous syrups: Mixybar syrups are thicker than water. The pump had to deliver a repeatable 10 ml shot without splashing, under-dosing, or dripping.

2. Universal fit for the Mixybar line: Fabbri didn’t want separate pumps for each flavor or bottle. The solution had to work as a single platform with adjustable tube length.

3. Food-contact compliance and documentation: Fabbri’s quality and regulatory teams required full material traceability and food-contact test reports to support different markets.

4. Strong branding on a small component: The pump is a small plastic part, but it still needed to carry the Fabbri logo clearly and look at home with the rest of the Mixybar packaging.

UKPACK’s Approach

1. Choosing the Right Engine – UKS10

We started with UKPACK’s UKS10 syrup pump engine, a proven structure designed for syrups and sauces.

Key features:

  1. Approx. 10 ml output per stroke
  2. Robust internal spring and piston system
  3. A universal bottle fit concept – closure and dip tube can be customized without changing the core mechanism

Using a mature engine reduced development risk and let us focus on fit, performance, and branding.

2. Two Head Designs for Customer Review

fabbri syrup pumps square and round head - 111

To give Fabbri options, we built two head styles on the UKS10 engine:

  • Square head with a flat, blocky profile – a bold, angular look that really stands out on the bottle
  • Classic round head – a softer, more traditional syrup pump silhouette that baristas are familiar with

Fabbri’s team tested both samples with their Mixybar syrups. They ultimately chose the classic round head, because it:

  • Feels more intuitive and comfortable for baristas to press all day
  • Fits naturally with other bar and coffee equipment
  • Is easy to wipe clean and keep looking professional

The square-head version remains part of UKPACK’s standard syrup pump range for other customers who prefer a more angular, statement look.

3. Engineering Precise 10 ml Dosing

Next, our engineers tuned the pump for syrup use:

  • Verified ≈10 ml per stroke with syrup-like viscosity
  • Optimized the stroke length so it feels natural for baristas
  • Adjusted the spring force to avoid splashing on the return
  • Refined the nozzle design to help reduce dripping after each pump

The result is a smooth, repeatable shot that helps cafés keep recipes consistent from drink to drink and from store to store.

4. Universal Bottle Fit for Mixybar

To turn the pump into a platform across the Mixybar line, we:

  • Matched the closure to Fabbri’s bottle neck specification
  • Cut the dip tube so it reaches near the bottom of the syrup bottle
  • Kept the design flexible enough to adjust for future bottle changes

This gives Fabbri one pump design that can be used across multiple syrups, with only tube length adjustments where needed.

5. Food-Grade Materials and Certificates

Because this pump is used in drinks preparation, we selected food-grade plastics for all liquid-contact parts.

UKPACK provided Fabbri with a complete documentation package, including:

  • Material specifications and declarations
  • Food-contact test reports from accredited laboratories
  • Certificates to support internal audits and customer requirements

This documentation was a core reason Fabbri chose UKPACK over lower-cost, uncertified suppliers.

6. Branding and Decoration

To make the pump feel like a natural part of the Mixybar system, we focused on clean branding:

  • Silk-screen printing of the Fabbri logo on the square panel
  • Color matching of pump components to Fabbri’s blue and off-white palette
  • A minimal layout that looks professional both behind the bar and on open shelves

Even though the pump is a small accessory, it now clearly communicates “Fabbri quality” every time it’s used.

Final Pack: Fabbri 10ml Syrup Pump

The finished solution can be summarized as:

  • Custom 10ml syrup pump based on UKS10
  • Square head with logo panel selected by Fabbri
  • Universal fit for Mixybar syrup bottles
  • Silk-screen logo and brand color matching
  • Food-grade materials, with complete certification pack
  • Designed for high-frequency use in cafés and bars

Results for Fabbri

By partnering with UKPACK, Fabbri gained:

  • A dedicated Fabbri-branded syrup pump designed for the Mixybar range
  • Consistent dosing, making it easier to standardize recipes across outlets
  • Simplified procurement with a single pump platform instead of multiple SKUs
  • Confidence that the component meets their food-contact and quality requirements
  • A small but visible pack element that reinforces the Fabbri brand every day in cafés and coffee shops

What This Means for Other Beverage and Syrup Brands

This project shows how a syrup pump can be more than a basic accessory. With the right partner, it becomes a branded, engineered tool that supports your recipes, your bar staff, and your quality team.

Because UKPACK already manufactures a full range of syrup pumps and beverage dispensing pumps in different outputs and styles, we can:

  • Start from proven pump engines
  • Customize output (ml/stroke), closures, and tube lengths
  • Add logo printing and color matching
  • Provide food-grade documentation for different markets
